Police and paramedics are at the scene of a crash which has blocked a major route.

The A2 New Road is shut in Rochester, near the junction with A229 City Way.

Emergency services were called to a crash involving two cars shortly after 1.30pm today.

A police spokeswoman added: “Officers, along with South East Coast Ambulance Service, attended and minor injuries have been reported.

“The road is currently blocked, and officers are assisting with traffic control until the vehicles are recovered.”
