Tourism students at Thanet College will be taking to the buses this summer as tour guides for open-top sightseeing tours.

They will be chatting with passengers and passing on information about Thanet to tourists on the City Sightseeing trips, gaining experience that will help them earn their resort rep qualification.

The company’s owner Lance Young visited the college recently as a guest speaker and discussed the idea with course leader Lana Allen.

She said: “This work placement provides fantastic experience for the students wishing to venture in to the world of resort reps and tourism.”
