Man arrested after police chase ends at Maplesden Noakes School, in Buckland Road, Maidstone

A police chase ended when a man drove into school grounds and crashed into a car in Maidstone.

The man, in his 20s, drove into Maplesden Noakes School's car park yesterday, just before noon, after allegedly failing to stop for officers in London Road.

The Buckland Road school's autumn term starts tomorrow.

He was arrested after a short search of the area, on suspicion of possessing Class A drugs, failing to stop for police, dangerous driving and breach of his prison licence.

He was subsequently released pending further investigation regarding the drug and driving offences.

Maplesden Noakes School has been approached for comment.
