FORMER Kent schoolboy Piers Sellers has landed safely in America after spending 13 days in space.

Discovery touched down on time at 2.14pm on Monday at Cape Canaveral in Florida after Nasa had cleared it to return after finding no evidence of damage.

Dr Sellers, who went to school in Cranbrook, successfully completed three space walks during the mission at the International Space Station.
