Boy stuck in handcuffs after losing key

FIREFIGHTERS had to cut a young boy free after he lost the key to a pair of toy handcuffs attached to his wrists.

The 10-year-old was taken to Biggin Hill fire station by his mother after she found him trapped in the mock cuffs.

Watch manager Tony Jarrett said: "He had just been messing around with them, got stuck and couldn’t get them off again. They weren’t real handcuffs but were metal and stronger than what you’d expect for a toy.

"We managed to saw through the cuffs being careful with his hands. I think his mum was just as shocked as he was. She said she didn’t know where he’d got them from."
