Nigel Farage makes Brexit Party candidates stand aside for Tories

A shock announcement by Nigel Farage yesterday will leave just one Brexit Party candidate standing in Kent for the upcoming election.

The leader said there is a risk that standing in every seat in the country could lead to a hung Parliament and the prospect of a second referendum.

Meanwhile the Liberal Democrats are standing against Labour in Canterbury, ignoring criticism from MP Rosie Duffield that this could split votes from remain supporters.
