Closures and diversions at Dartford Crossing

Motorists face diversions at the Dartford Crossing this week while roadworks are carried out.

The QE II Bridge was closed from 8.30pm yesterday until 5am this morning, and will be shut again at the same time tonight until Wednesday morning.

The southbound entry slip road at junction 31 of the M25 will be closed to traffic, which is to be diverted through the east tunnel.

One of the northbound tunnels will close on Wednesday at 8.30pm and re-opened the next morning at 5am.

The same will apply during the same hours from Thursday night to Friday morning and from 8.30pm on Sunday to 5am on Monday.

Northbound traffic will still be able to use the one remaining tunnel.

Further closures will be in place at the weekend.

The east tunnel will be shut from 8pm on Friday until 9am on Saturday, and then from 8pm on Saturday to 10am on Sunday.

Traffic will again be diverted through the remaining tunnel.
