The annual drag queen competition Miss Drag UK, held in Folkestone, has been cancelled and rescheduled.
Event organisers believe it would be irresponsible to hold the event amid the outbreak of coronavirus.
The event will be postponed until June 14 and organisers are happy to arrange refunds for tickets.
Queens were to attend the Grand Burstin Hotel, Folkestone, to find out who will take the crown of Miss Drag UK this year, as well as awards such as Miss Charity and Miss Congeniality.
The Miss Drag UK team said: "This is a decision not taken lightly but we feel it would be irresponsible to put so many people in one area together, especially as there are children involved in our show and we want to keep everyone safe."
Victoria Carriage, a Thanet drag queen, shared the post and said the news was "heartbreaking."
However, she added: "It’s fully understandable given the current circumstances. However, it does give all the contestants more time to raise more charity donations, arrange more fund raisers and perfect their outfits in readiness.
"There is always a silver lining to every situation. I just need to wait a little longer to slay the runway in full VC style."
She recently held a charity paint along with Herne Bay drag queen, Sir Vyx, as part of their duties for the pageant.
There are six confirmed cases of coronavirus in Kent and Medway.
