M20 driver with sofas 'hanging out' of vehicle stopped by police

A driver was pulled over on the M20 with a sofa dangling out of the boot and a single seater hanging out of the side door.

Officers pulled the motorist over this afternoon after they were seen driving at up to 65mph with the furnishings loosely fastened with a couple of bungee cords.

Kent Police Specials UK tweeted: "This driver was stopped after being spotted driving around 55-65mph on the M20, with his car exactly like you see in the photos.

"Only two bungee cords loosely holding a double sofa from the rear & a single seater sofa literally hanging out the side door, unsecured."
