When DJ Rob Wills phoned them live on air to tell them the good news Jackie could be heard celebrating in the background.

She told the host: "There's so much that we could do with it.

"There's grandchildren's birthdays in December, as well as Christmas presents, we've got decorating - it would just be amazing.

"I'm so in shock - it would make such a big difference."

This came after one entrant from Maidstone missed out on the chance to win the prize as he failed to answer his phone during the Drivetime show.

The couple were chosen at random after entering kmfm's Cash for Christmas draw.

The winnings are given to ease financial strain on people over the festive period.

kmfm will run the competition for one last time next Friday.
