Crash at Bean Interchange causes long delays on A2

Traffic was queuing for up to eight miles on the A2 following a crash.

Police were called out to the Bean Interchange just after 7.10am after a crash involving two vehicles, one of which hit a tree.

A Kent Police spokesman said: "Officers and the South East Coast Ambulance Service attended and there were no reported injuries."

One lane was closed causing long delays back to Strood.

It's taking around an hour for drivers to get through the queues.

Shortly after 7.30am the road had reopened but delays of 45 minutes are still being reported.
