Crowds are expected to flock to the county's beaches again today as forecasters predict warm and dry weather throughout the weekend.

The Met Office says temperatures could peak at 24C today (75F) with many places being "very warm" tomorrow and hitting a high of 25C (77F).

And that will almost certainly mean big numbers heading to the coast as they look to take advantage of a relaxation in lockdown restrictions.

There have been concerns raised in recent weeks that social distancing regulations have been flouted as crowds seek to enjoy the good weather.

However, many shops will remain closed until Monday.

That is the date when Prime Minister Boris Johnson has agreed non-essential stores can once again reopen after months of being shut as a result of the pandemic.

There are also expected to be crowds heading to Canterbury and Thanet today for further Black Lives Matter protests.
