A cyclist who was killed in a crash with a lorry in Thanet has been described by friends as a "lovely guy" who "lived life to the full".

Marc Dunk, who lived in Ethelbert Road, Birchington, died in the crash in Manston Road, Ramsgate on Monday.

His bicycle collided with a Mercedes lorry at the entrance to the Charles River laboratory, near Kent International Airport.

Family and friends have added their memories of Marc to a page on the social networking website Facebook.

Luke Harris recalled his "outrageous sense of humour" and said he would be "sadly missed", while Kachina Hogben described him as her best friend and said she would "miss him terribly".

Beth Brady said she had been left "completely numb" by Marc's death, while Robert Taylor paid tribute to "a true friend". Laura Butler described Marc as "a total legend who will never be forgotten".

Marc's shocked colleagues at Charles River are expected to hold a minute's silence for him at 10am Friday and friends have also been signing a football shirt for the Manchester United fan.
