Swine flu has been ruled out as the cause of the death of a seven-year-old boy in Medway.
A post mortem examination was carried out on Friday and the results have shown the boy, who was a pupil at English Martyrs School in Strood, did not have the virus.
A spokesman for Medway's coroner office said: "The cause of death has been confirmed as natural causes. The boy did not die of swine flu."
The spokesman added that they are still waiting the results of some tests but an inquest into the boy's death will not be carried out.
The pupil, who has not been named, died last Tuesday at Medway Maritime Hospital.
A remembrance mass was held at the English Martyrs Catholic Church yesterday, Tuesday, for children and parents from the school to say prayers for the boy's family.
