Dover man Robert Fowles charged with making false bomb threat

A Dover man appeared in court on Monday charged with making a bomb threat on a plane that was about to take off from Heathrow Airport.

Ronald Fowles, 58, of Edred Road, is also accused of being drunk on the Dubai-bound flight on Friday night.

He appeared before Westminster Magistrates on Monday and was remanded in custody until next Monday.

A second man, 48-year-old Alexander McGinn from Lowther Road, Dover, was charged with being drunk on an aircraft and was released on bail.

A third man was released without charge.
