Fire crews from Gravesend were called out to tackle a blaze in a derelict building this morning (Sunday).

Two fire engines were called to the incident on Albion Parade around 8.30am.

The building, measuring 100 metres by 30 metres, contained approximately 20 tonnes of wood.

Firefighters spent two hours tackling the flames using jets and a ventilation fan to clear the smoke.

No one was injured. The cause is unknown.
