Suspected burglars charged after series of break-ins across Sevenoaks, Medway, Sittingbourne and Ashford

A gang of suspected burglars have been charged after at least 30 break ins took place across the county.

Five suspects allegedly targeted areas all over Kent, including properties in New Ash Green, Sevenoaks, Medway, Sittingbourne and Ashford.

In addition to properties being broken in to, some residents had their car keys stolen and their vehicles taken from outside their homes.

The thefts took place over a four-month period, between August 6 and November 5.

Three of the suspects, Ricky Webb, Danny Webb and Oliver Cook, were arrested on Monday.

Ricky Webb, 23, of Dryland Avenue, Orpington, was charged with robbery, aggravated burglary and two counts of conspiring to commit burglary.

Both Danny Webb, 20, also of Dryland Avenue and Cook, 21, of Church Hill Wood, Orpington, were charged with conspiracy to commit burglary.

The two further suspects, Alfie Johnson, 22, of Leysdown Road, near Leysdown and Michael Johnson, 21, of Warden Road, Eastchurch, had previously been charged in relation to burglary offences.

All five of the men have been remanded in custody.

They will appear at Maidstone Crown Court on March 17.
