Clive Emson auctions off flat at Folkestone Road, Dover, and land in Faversham

A one-bedroom flat has been sold at auction for less than £50,000.

The "modernised" property in Folkestone Road, Dover, fetched £48,000 at the Clive Emson auction today.

It had a guide price of between £40,000 and £50,000 and is cheaper than all the other one bedroom flats listed on rightmove.com in the same area.

The prices for those currently range from £56,500 to £115,000.

Images of the flat show the kitchen, which looks newly refurbished, and there is also a modern bathroom.

A patch of land off The Leas in Faversham was also auctioned off.

It sold for £20,000 - more than twice its guide price of between £7,000 to £8,000.
