M25 clockwise reopens after overturned van at Junction 2 for Dartford and Bluewater sparked long delays

Queues stretched back for about four miles after an overturned van shut the M25.

The clockwise carriageway was closed at Junction 2 for Dartford and Bluewater following the collision.

National Highways posted on X about the incident shortly after 4pm. In an update shortly before 5pm, it says the route remains closed.

“Traffic is advised to divert using the entry and exit slips,” it said. “There are delays of at least 45 minutes on approach from Junction 30.

“Please allow plenty of journey time if possible.”

But at about 5.15pm, it posted the route had been reopened.

“There are residual delays of at least 45 minutes on approach from Junction 30. However, this should start to ease.”

It is not yet known if anyone has been injured.
