Gillingham's long wait for a loan signing has ended after they agreed a deal to sign Frank Nouble.

The 19-year-old joins the Gills from Championship West Ham on an initial one-month loan deal.

Nouble began his career at Chelsea but signed professional forms at Upton Park in July, 2009.

He has previously enjoyed loan spells with West Brom, Swindon, Swansea, Barnsley and Charlton.

Nouble will travel with the squad to Hereford ahead of Saturday's fixture at Hereford.

Gillingham boss Andy Hessenthaler (pictured) said: "He is a quick one so will bring something different to the side.

"He has good experience and should slot in nicely alongside Danny Kedwell and hopefully bring a few goals to the club.

"Frank has an excellent pedigree and comes to us from a proper club and i would like to thank West Ham and Ian Hendon for helping us out on this one."
