GORMAN: press conference later today

GILLINGHAM Football Club's caretaker boss John Gorman has quit Priestfield and joined Wycombe Wanderers, it was revealed today.

Gorman had been tipped in some quarters to fill vacant manager's role at Wycombe but it will come as a great surprise to most Gillingham supporters. He takes over from former England and Arsenal star Tony Adams.

Gorman's departure from Priestfield comes a week after Andy Hessenthaler decided to step down from the manager's job.

Gorman has told Kent Online's Jason Kayley and KM-fm's sports editor Simon Watts why he is leaving. See our sports section.
