Students in Canterbury are paying some of the highest amounts for housing in the country.

A survey's found the city's the 10th most expensive in the country, with students paying around £72.90 a week.

Across the country students are paying almost a fifth more for housing than they were five years ago.

Meanwhile, in Chatham, students have to fork out £61.11 each week for their accommodation.

This compares with the highest rents, not surprisingly in London, where youngsters pay £104.
