Hunting for the rare crested lark at Dungeness - video

Sorry, this video asset has been removed.

Thousands of twitchers have been making pilgrimages to Dungeness in search of a bird rarely seen on these shores.

A crested lark was last seen in the UK 12 years ago and when one of the species was spotted on the shingle last week it didn’t take long for word to get round.

Reporter Chris Denham picked up his bird book and headed out to see if he could spot the elusive creature, helped by Romney Marsh Countryside Project leader Owen Leyshon.
