Kent opener Joe Denly has been ruled out of England's second NatWest Series one-day international against Australia at Lord's on Sunday.

The Kent opener suffered a sprained knee on Thursday after getting injured during a football kickabout with team-mates in training.

Further assessment of scans on Friday revealed that no major structural damage had been sustained.

A statement on the ECB website said: "(He) will continue to receive treatment over the next 48 hours before undergoing a further assessment early next week, which will determine a recovery timescale."
