Officers from Kent Police will feature on Channel 5 documentary tonight

Officers from Kent Police will make their debut in a three-part documentary this evening.

The show, Manhunt: Catch Me If You Can, will air on Channel 5 at 9pm and features officers from the tactical unit tracking down suspects on the run.

The programme, which is bound to feed people's obsession with crime documentaries, covers everything from the types of criminals being hunted to the details of the dangerous of the job.

Airing over three weeks, the series goes on the road with the force's specialist tactical unit, a 10-strong team which is tasked with hunting down criminals.

Tonight's episode sees the team come up against some opposition as they do their best to hunt down a high-risk offender, wanted for his part in a raid which left victims stabbed, pistol whipped and tied up.

He was on the run for a year before finally being tracked to an address in the capital.

The programme was shot all over the county and a second case featured sees the unit looking for two women, partners in life and crime who the officers want to arrest.

One has 76 previous arrests to her name and after failing to show up at court on theft charges, the duo lead the team on an epic chase to hunt them down.

Earlier today the officers tweeted about being on the show.

The show starts tonight at 9pm and is on for an hour.
