Kent Cricket sign young fast bowlers Charlie Hartley and Matt Hunn after impressing on trial with 2nd XI

Kent have revealed they have signed young fast bowlers Charlie Hartley and Matt Hunn for the 2014 season after impressing on trial with the 2nds.

Hartley is a right arm swing bowler who attended Millfield School along with promising Kent stars Daniel Bell-Drummond and Calum Haggett and has previously played for Somerset under-17s.

Hunn is a 19-year-old quick from Ipswich, who has experience with Essex 2nds and Suffolk age group squad, aswell as Kent 2nds this summer following recommendation from Bob Flack at Suffolk.

He has taken 19 wickets in seven games for Kent since mid-July.

Skipper James Tredwell confirmed Hunn is likely to make his Kent first team debut this week against Lancashire.

Kent Cricket High Performance Director Simon Willis said: "Both of these young players have impressed at second team level this season – showing a great desire as well as having the ability to take wickets on a regular basis.”
