Kent's ultimate tribute acts - and where you can see them live

Love them or hate them, tribute acts are a vital part of our local summer festivals.

From the Faux Fighters to Coldplace, you have to admire the creativity of those paying homage to the world's biggest stars.

Here's our pick of the ultimate tribute acts that have made their way to Kent - and where you can see them live.

1 Ben Portsmouth as Elvis

Musician Ben has seen global success thanks to his uncanny resemblance to the so-called king of rock and roll.

Born in the UK, Ben made history when he was named the world's ultimate Elvis tribute by Elvis Presley enterprises in 2012.

The singer-songwriter came to Kent earlier this year, visiting both Tunbridge Wells and Margate in February.

He'll be back in Canterbury on Tuesday, August 28 at the Marlowe Theatre, as he continues on his world tour.

2 Coldplace

Leading Coldplay tribute band, Coldplace, have performed in more than 700 shows during their 13 years together.

They've appeared on a number of major television programmes - and even been mistaken for the real deal.

Frontman Shane Croft has met Chris Martin three times, and the group came to Deal earlier this year.

With gigs lined up throughout the summer, including an appearance at GlastonBARRY in Wales, Coldplace will be returning to Trinity Theatre, Tunbridge Wells, in November.

3 Vicky Jackson as Pink

Vicky Jackson's tribute to American musician, Pink, has been her most-booked show for almost 10 years.

With her similar vocals, passion for music, and carefully selected wardrobe, Vicky has performed more than 1,000 shows as Pink throughout her career.

The copycat punk rocker was in Gravesend earlier this month for the town's annual Riverside Festival.

She also performs as Amy Winehouse, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift and Katy Perry.

4 The Artificial Monkeys

Gravesend's very own version of the Arctic Monkeys caused quite a stir when they performed at the Riverside Festival this month.

This home-grown band were a huge hit with locals after they recreated some of the indie group's top hits in the sunshine.

But - can you guess which one is Alex Turner?

5 Wrong Jovi

Forget Bon Jovi - it's all about John "Wrong" Jovi and the crew.

With a set list crammed full of sing-along anthems, alongside some of the band's lesser-known hits, this tribute could easily be confused with the real thing.

The group have proven so popular, that they even have their own merchandise, and made an appearance on BBC One's "Better Than The Real Thing".

Wrong Jovi appeared in Kent in November last year, and will be back at The Woodville, Gravesend in September.

6 Mr Bubbles

With an iconic name and smooth sound to match, Mr Bubbles is a fitting tribute award-winning singer Michael Bublé.

He will be returning to Kent this August and, true to his name, will be offering guests a glass of bubbly prosecco on arrival.

Covering hits such as Save the Last Dance for Me and Cry Me a River, it's a shame Me Bubbles just hasn't met you yet.

Catch him at Hythe Imperial on Saturday, August 25.

7 Ben Bowman as Michael Jackson

Ben Bowman has spent years performing the moonwalk, and it looks like the all the hard work was definitely worth it.

The former Sheppey student, who now lives in Medway, is the star of his very own show, "Michael Starring Ben", and has travelled across the country performing his hugely popular tribute act.

Ben's show promises to take visitors on a journey back in time, to remember the man, the magic and the music of Michael Jackson.

He will be returning to his hometown next Wednesday, July 25 to wow fans at the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury.
