Kent Police in 122mph chase with Audi driver 'late for work'

A speeding driver who was "late for work" was pulled over after a 122mph police chase.

The silver Audi A5 was spotted hurtling along the motorway outside lane by Kent Police's roads team.

The officers are understood to have been in an unmarked car.

They posted a picture Twitter at 11.57pm last night (Friday, June 21) of the vehicle parked up in a residential street.

The team said: "The driver of this vehicle literally used the fast lane to its full passing us at high speed.

"Caught up with the vehicle and followed at 122mph. Apparently late for work.

"Vehicle stopped and driver issued with a TOR for excess speed #FatalFive #NotAlwaysMarked."

Police have been approached for more details.
