Library to shut for major repairs

HILDENBOROUGH Library closes on Friday, March 19, for seven to eight weeks for essential refurbishment.

This includes repairs to the drains and front ramp, and structural work to the internal walls. Automatic doors will also be installed to comply with Disability Discrimination Act guidelines.

To minimise disruption, customers can double their normal allowance of books up to March 19, and the loan period will be extended to ensure fines are not incurred while the library is closed.

Customers can also use nearby libraries in Sevenoaks, Tonbridge and Tonbridge North, with the latter operating extended opening hours during the Hildenborough closure.
