Marks & Spencer has launched a heart-shaped cucumber, grown at a Kent farm, for Valentine's Day.

Suitably named a 'Love Cue', the fruit is being sold at a selected 95 stores across the country.

Only four in the county - at Hempsted Valley, Gillingham; Bluewater; Bromley and Tunbridge Wells - will receive the romantic treat.

The healthy snack, which was grown in M&S select farms in Kent, will cost £1 and follows on from last years heart-shaped sausage.

Guy Grimshaw is the M&S agronomist, which is an expert in the science of soil and management and crop production, and says the product will bring a smile to customers' faces.

He said: “Our customers really get into the spirit on Valentine’s Day and love the innovative new products we bring out each year.

"This year it’s not only about the famous Love Sausage… But the new Love Cue is sure to bring a smile to our customers' faces.

"Slice it and add to a G&T and celebrate this Valentine’s Day in style.”
