Firefighters have been tackling a major barn fire in Station Road, Pluckley.

Six fire engines, a water unit and other co-ordinating vehicles have been at the scene at Stanford Bridge Farm after being called at around 9.30am Friday.

Up to 40 firefighters have been battling the blaze, which has seen a large amount of straw destroyed.

Surrounding buildings are being coolled to prevent the fire spreading to them. The building is believed to be used as agricultural storage.
