A Dover man has appeared in court charged with possessing a photograph of a man having sex - with a fish.

Paul Wright, 43, was accused of having "an extreme pornographic image" contrary to the Criminal Justice Act.

Wright denied the charge but admitted possessing or making more than 500 indecent images of children.

Prosecuting, Donna East told Canterbury Crown Court that the CPS did not seek a trial on the animal porn charges, which have been left on the file.

Wright, from Beaconsfield Avenue, had been charged that on July 30 he had "two extreme pornographic images which portrayed in an explicit and realistic way, a person performing an act of intercourse with live animals, namely a horse and a fish, which were grossly offensive and disgusting".

Wright was granted bail for a month when he will be sentenced.
