Man charged with Gravesend baby assault

A man has appeared in court charged with assault following an incident involving a month-old baby in Gravesend.

Nathan Rawling, 35, of St Gregory's Crescent, Gravesend, appeared before Maidstone magistrates on Saturday where he was granted conditional bail. He was charged on Friday with causing grievous bodily harm with intent on December 1 last year.

A 34-year-old woman arrested following the incident remains on bail.

The baby has made a full recovery.
