Man faces firearms charges

A MAN has appeared before magistrates at Maidstone accused of firing a double-barrelled shotgun outside his house at Laddingford, near Yalding.

Gary Wozny, 45, of Gravelly Ways, Laddingford, is charged with possessing a firearm with the intent to cause fear of violence and possessing a shotgun without a certificate.

He allegedly fired the gun on Monday evening, causing Andre Pingault, his brother-in-law, to fear violence.

The magistrates sent Mr Wozny for trial at Maidstone crown court. He was refused bail.
