Man held on suspicion of murder

A MAN is being questioned by police on suspicion of murder after a body was discovered at a flat in a Kent seaside town.

Police officers were called just after midnight on Monday to the property in Northdown Road, Cliftonville, near Margate, where a 26-year-old Ramsgate man was pronounced dead shortly before 12.45am.

A 27-year-old man is being questioned by detectives in connection with the death. The suspect comes from the Ramsgate area.

The identity of the dead man has not yet been released by Kent Police.
