Massive emergency response amid fire at deserted Chatham school

A strong emergency service response was launched after a former school prone to arson attacks caught alight.

Fire crews, paramedics and police descended on the derelict St John Fisher Catholic School in Ordnance Street, Chatham.

The school site has suffered a number of blazes in recent years, with many linked to suspected arson attacks.

This evening, several fire crews could be seen battling to make the area safe while police set up a cordon around the area.
