Meerkats take up residence at Canterbury College

Sorry, this video asset has been removed.

Canterbury College has a new intake - and they don't have to pay
back a student loan.

Neither does anyone shout if coursework is late - or even chewed
- and they would rather have a grub than a good grade!

For the New Dover Road facility's latest 'students' are meerkats
- and they're proving a big hit.

Students have been learning how to take care of the animals, as
our video above shows.

See more pictures of the meerkat troop in this week's
Kentish Gazette, out Thursday.
