Motorists might moan about Mondays, but it is the day when they are at their most alert as drivers, it has been revealed.
The start of the working week is the time drivers give most care and attention to the road, a survey by Kia Motors showed.
Those looking for safe journeys would do well to avoid Thursdays, as the poll showed that was the day when drivers are at their most relaxed. The survey of 2,000 UK motorists also showed that only 1% of drivers reckoned they drove well after 9pm.
On average, motorists were distracted 1.84 times a day at the wheel, with 45% getting annoyed at bad driving by others and 27% finding that talking to passengers was a distraction.
