More listeners to kmfm a RAJAR figures released

Thousands more people are listening to Kent's music station kmfm, according to official industry figures released today.

The only commercial station to broadcast exclusively from the county, kmfm saw its audience leap more than 3% over the past six months.

Breakfast with Rob Wills, which gives listeners the chance to win £500 every day in its popular 10 in 30 slot, is attracting a fast-growing audience while broadcasting legend Tony Blackburn - who hosts a show exclusively for kmfm every Sunday - saw the number of people tuning in soar by 28%.

KM Group managing director Richard Elliot welcomed the results, saying: "We are dedicated exclusively to Kent - all our presenters live locally and know the county inside out.

"We are also able to draw on the KM Group's reporters from across the county to provide unrivalled news, sports and showbiz coverage, as well as the best traffic and travel.

"We are delighted that more and more people are tuning in.

"We have a whole host of exciting new developments planned over the coming months, involving some of the biggest names in music, and it's going to be an exciting time to be listening."

In addition to Rob and Tony, kmfm's presenters include drive host Andy Walker, on air every weekday from 3pm and Nigel Ansell hosting the evening show from 7pm.
