Murder charge after bus tragedy

A 45-year-old man has been charged with murder after a 30-year-old was killed during a collision with a bus in Catherine Street, Rochester, on Friday, April 3.

Christopher Michael Eggleton, from Dale Street, Chatham, appeared at Medway Magistrates Court today.

He was given conditional bail, which includes not being able to drive a vehicle and not entering the Medway area.

He will appear at Maidstone Crown Court on May 15.

Mr Eggleton was arrested on Monday, April 6.
