A convicted paedophile - released early from a 15-year sentence - tricked his way into the home of a Strood mother-of three.

Devious Billy Robinson met his victim on the dating site Plenty Of Fish after being allowed out of jail.

But Maidstone Crown Court heard the 36-year-old also had used plenty of lies to worm his way into her affections.

Under strict rules, Robinson is banned from living or staying at any address where there are children.

In 2011, he was sent to jail for sexually abusing two children.

Calling himself Billy Evans, and living at St George’s Avenue, Sheerness, he was unanimously convicted by a jury.

He was found guilty of three charges of rape, three of indecent assault, three of sexual assault, one of indecency with a child and one of causing a child to engage in sexual activity.

The prosecutor had revealed how Evans asked one of the girls if she wanted to play a game and then touched her sexually.

He warned if she told anyone something bad would happen.

Evans molested her on other occasions and got her to touch him after forcing her to undress.

She later told police how he pinned her down and raped her.

The second victim was to break down and reveal that Evans had done “rude things” to her.

She did not tell anyone, she said, because he threatened to kill her mother.

Last week, prosecutor Keith Yardy revealed how in September 2018 Robinson was released early on condition he inform police where he intended to live.

In January, he claimed he was living with a relative in London Road, Rainham, but when officers checked they discovered he had stayed there just a couple of days.

In February he went to the DWP office but officers were waiting and arrested him.

Robinson claimed he was “sofa surfing” but then asked to use the phone and called his lover.

Mr Yardy said police traced the call and spoke with the mother who had no idea about the pervert’s past.

She revealed she was totally disgusted at his deception and revealed that even though he was never alone with the children in the house, he had walked one of the youngsters to school.

Robinson claimed he loved the woman “and didn’t know how to deal with it”.

After his arrest, prison bosses recalled him and he is now serving the remainder of the sentence.

Robinson - who appeared by prison video link - admitted breaching his sex offenders’ prevention order and not notifying police of his true address.

He was given a 28-month jail sentence which will run concurrently with his present sentence.

Sentencing him last week, Judge David Griffith-Jones QC said he had exposed the children to a “serious risk of harm and distress”.

He added: “This was a flagrant breach of your obligations and you didn’t tell the woman in question about your convictions.”
