Mystery surrounds murder inquiry victim's cause of death

Police still don't know what exactly caused the death of a man found in a garden.

The discovery of Jed Little's body at St Teresa's Close, Ashford, led to police launching a murder inquiry.

A post mortem examination was held the day after his body was found but the confirmed cause of death is still pending further investigation, an inquest opening heard.

Coroner's officer Bryant Hale said at Ashford Magistrates' Court last Thursday that the victim was 33-year-old Jed Daniel Little.

He was a single man from Hythe Road, Willesborough.

Mr Little's body was found in the garden just after midnight on Tuesday, March 8, just 12 days before his 34th birthday.

Mr Little was also know as Jed Turner. His former foster mother is Sandra Turner and he moved out to live with a girlfriend when he was 17.

He went to Ashford's North School and previously Hothfield primary and was part of the Army Cadet Force.

Coroner Rachel Redman adjourned the inquest for a date to be fixed.

Three people were arrested on suspicion of murder shortly after the body was found.

They were two men aged 33 and 52 and a 27-year-old woman. A 32-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of assault.

All four were released by police on bail pending further enquiries.
