Folkestone newlywed win's kmfm's £1K Drop

A lucky radio listener in Kent has just got a little more "rich" after he ended the week a grand better off.

Newlywed Lewis Rich, from Folkestone, was named the winner of the kmfm competition £1K Drop this evening.

The competition gives listeners in the county the chance to win £1000 cash, sent directly to one lucky person's bank account.

This month's edition came to an end at 6pm with Lewis announced as the winner.

Rob Wills from Drivetime called Lewis to deliver him the good news to which he replied: "No way you're having a laugh, Thank you very much."

Lewis had his honeymoon with wife Kim cancelled in May but may now be able to make up for that after scooping Kent's radio station top prize.

He said: "I have just moved to Folkestone into a new home and had my honeymoon in May cancelled.

"So I may spend the money now with my wife."
