An Olympic athlete is set to kick off a shopping centre's annual charity fun run.

Cross-country runner Liz Yelling will be at Bluewater's Sweatshop store on Tuesday (April 20) to launch the Bluewater Sweatshop 10k run.

The event, formerly the SheRunsHeRuns 10k, takes place on Sunday, June 13, and is set to attract hundreds of fun runners to the centre's grounds in support of three charities.

Race day includes the Messenger 2k Challenge Run, supported by the KM Group.

Liz will be at the Sweatshop store from 12-4pm talking to shoppers and handing out advice on running and healthy living.

Staff are giving away goodies from Lucozade, Adidas and a free pair of running socks to the first 200 people through the door.
