Police appeal after serious street attack

MEDWAY police are investigating a serious street attack on a man which left him with extensive head injuries.

The victim is believed to have been attacked after he got off a bus at Bligh Way, Strood, near the Parkfields junction. He suffered cuts to his head and mouth and his left eye was badly bruised.

The attack occurred last Monday at around 9pm and police are appealing for witnesses. Det Con Mark Hamer said: "This was a serious attack and has left the victim very shaken. I would appeal to anyone with information to contact us immediately."
