Police carry out raid on suspected Faversham brothel

Two women have been arrested on suspicion of running or managing a brothel in Faversham.

A police operation on Wednesday afternoon saw officers from the Faversham neighbourhood team and police headquarters carry out a warrant at an address in Ospringe Road.

Lyn Brown, 61, from Bridge, near Canterbury, has been charged with controlling prostitution for gain and appeared before Sittingbourne Magistrates Court on Thursday. She has been bailed to reappear at the court on Friday, July 24.

A 41-year-old Whitstable woman also arrested, has been released on police bail until Tuesday, August 25.
