Police are searching for these two men suspected of supplying booze to children.

The men were caught on CCTV buying drink in a shop in Ramsgate on Friday, April 23.

That night officers caught six youngsters with 24 cans of lager on their way to Ellington Park.

After pouring the drink away, police discovered it came from the store in Newington.

Licensing officer Nigel Cruttenden said the store had broken its licensing conditions and could be prosecuted.

He added that the responsible for buying the youths the alcohol could face a fine of up to £5,000.

It follows the launch of a joint operation by Thanet police's neighbourhood task team and Thanet District Council to crack down on local shops and drivers providing products illegally to underage children.

Sgt Martin Turner said: "We take seriously what the local community tells us matters most to them and working closely with our colleagues at the council to use our combined powers as an effective way of tackling drink related anti-social behaviour."

Anyone who knows who the men caught on CCTV are should contact Mr Cruttenden on 01843 236 004.
