Electricity supplies have been restored to all those affected by the major power interruption in Dartford.

EDF energy has just confirmed the power is back on for all 94,000 homes affected since Monday's outage.

Engineers worked around the clock to repair the damaged cables.

Everyone should have constant power now, with the intermittent rota system now ended.

But there could be another short interruption later this morning when the new high voltage cable is connected to the network - but that should only last a few minutes.

EDF is asking people to carry on using the power sparingly though - as work is still continuing to get the supply completely back to normal.

However, it seems some people might still be without electricity this morning.

EDF energy has urged any customers still having problems to call their emergency help line on 0800 028 0247.
