Quad bikes stolen from soccer chief's home

THIEVES have stolen two Honda quad bikes worth £2,500 from a garage in the grounds of the home of Gillingham FC chairman Paul Scally.

The four-wheeled bikes were reported stolen from a garage owned by Portfolio Management, sited at Mr Scally's home at Crouch, near Borough Green.

The burglars loaded the bikes into the back of a vehicle between 7.50pm and 8pm on Sunday night. Police believe the same raiders were behind the theft of golf clubs from a car in Shipbourne, near Tonbridge, after they were found abandoned on Mr Scally's property. It is thought the burglars were forced to leave the golf clubs behind in order to fit the two bikes into their vehicle.

Anyone with information on the theft should call West Kent Police on 01732 771055 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
