A BLACK man aged 18 was the victim of a racial assault as he walked through Ramsgate with a friend. They were at the junction of Nixon Avenue and Wheatley Road on Saturday night when a man dressed in black barged into them and hit them both in the face.

The two friends went to a house in Gwyn Road but were followed by the man, who stood outside the house shouting racial abuse. The six foot attacker had short blond hair and wore a black jacket, black jeans and black trainers. He was with a blonde woman and a child.
